​John Tempest a one time soldier turned businessman and hollywood producer, womaniser, charlaton, who has floated through life by the seat of his pants gets arude awakening when he meets up with an old friend from way back when. It sets up a chain of events that takes him from a relatively serene life style back to one of danger, intregue and despair.
The year is 20o7, the start of the banking crisis and worldwide reccession. Tempests advntures take him to Norway and Sweden in an attempt to avade capture and solve the mystery of a World War Two U boat Captain whose remains were discovered near Scapa Flow.
Tempest Flies to Freedom' is the first instalment of the Tempest papers.
